About us

Steven E. Moore

Steven Moore is a former chief of staff in the U.S. House of Representatives who has been in Ukraine since day 5 of the war.

His NGO, the Ukraine Freedom Project (UFP), started as a humanitarian organization. Since March of 2022, UFP has delivered some 250 tons of food to areas impacted by the war, supplied dozens of hospitals with medical supplies, helped put thousands of pieces of body armor on Ukrainians and delivered Starlinks, drones, generators, and other aid to areas near the front. Moore has been to the front himself a dozen times.

With his years of experience on Capitol Hill, Moore has also become a trusted source of information to members of Congress and their staff. In addition to humanitarian work, the Ukraine Freedom Project provides firsthand, data-driven information to policymakers and the media about the situation in Ukraine.

In late 2022, Moore met Viktor Cherniavskyi, and was moved by Viktor’s horrific story of torture at the hands of a Russian Orthodox priest (featured on this site). As Moore met more Ukrainian evangelical Christians who had been tortured by Russians, he created this website to bring a voice to their suffering and attention to this untold story.

The Russians have taken note of Moore’s effectiveness in Ukraine and placed him on their hit list of foreign combatants.

Karl Ahlgren

Ahlgren began working with Ukraine Freedom Project (UFP), in March of 2023.

Ahlgren made his first trip to Ukraine in October 2023. He spent 9 days traveling throughout the country to get first hand knowledge of the impacts of the war. Since returning from Ukraine, Ahlgren and his UFP partner, Steven Moore have made 3 trips to Washington DC, talking to more 90 congressman, senators and congressional aides about the need for congress to fund the war in Ukraine against Russia’s unlawful invasion.

Ahlgren attended Ukrainan Week, WDC and National Religious Broadcasters Convention, Nashville, TN. He will be taking his 4th trip to WDC on March 10.

Ahlgren co-hosted, Oscar nominated, 20 Days in Mariupol at the Circle Cinema Theater, Tulsa, OK. Film director Mystslav Charnov gave a presentation with more than 200 people attending.

Ahlgren is a former youth pastor and in addition to Ukraine, has been a passionate advocate for Christians in Lebanon and Russia.
